One Bowl Fruit Cobbler

Is it really considered cheating if you're doing all the mixing, shredding, combining, and baking? And what if you're cheating for the right reason?

Well, if you're the one who is always stuck in the kitchen, slaving away baking amazing dishes while your family and friends are having fun and spending time together, then I say cheat a bit! This time-saving, delicious one bowl fruit cobbler will get you out of the kitchen quickly and won't jeopardize your rock-star baking status.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • Pinch of Clove (or spice of your choice)
  • 4-5 Croissants (fresh or slightly stale)
  • 1 can Boysenberries (15 oz.)
  • 2 cans Gooseberries (15 oz. each)
  • 36 oz Triple Berry Jam
  • 1 TBSP Black Treacle Raw Sugar

Now Let’s Get Started:

Preheat oven 350

Step #1: In bowl combine milk, eggs and spice
Step #2: Pull croissants in to pieces and add to bowl
Step #3: Combine mixture making sure croissant pieces are thoroughly coated
Step #4: Put bread mixture in baking dish
Step #5: In bowl combine all berries, jam and black treacle
Step #6: Pour berry mixture into baking dish over bread mixture
Step #7: Fold mixtures together so that berry mixture is evenly distributed throughout
Step #8: Sprinkle top with raw sugar – paying extra attention to the edges and corners
Step #9: Bake at 350o for 1 hour
